Jeera Rice is a quick, aromatic Indian dish made with cumin seeds and rice. Perfect with dal, curry, or raita!

Basmati rice Cumin seeds (jeera) Ghee or oil Water Salt to taste Bay leaf Cloves
Rinse rice 2–3 times until water runs clear. Soak for 20–30 minutes. This helps the grains stay separate and fluffy.
Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add whole spices (optional) for extra aroma.
Add soaked rice and water. Add salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered until rice is cooked and fluffy.
Fluff gently with a fork. Serve hot with dal, curry, or raita. Light, tasty, and ready in under 30 minutes!
