A classic Maharashtrian sweet flatbread filled with jaggery and lentils – perfect for festivals!

Chana dal Jaggery Cardamom powder Wheat flour Flour Oil Salt Water
Boil chana dal till soft but not mushy; drain and cool.
Mash dal, mix with jaggery, and cook till it becomes a thick sweet filling
Knead a soft, elastic dough using flour, water, and a little oil.
Stuff dough balls with puran, seal, and gently roll into flat rounds.
Cook on a hot tawa with ghee until golden spots appear on both sides.
Serve warm with ghee or milk – a festive treat ready to melt in your mouth!
