Dal Fry is a delicious, comforting dish made with lentils and spices, perfect for pairing with rice or roti.

Rinse the lentils and cook them in a pressure cooker with water, turmeric, and salt until soft and fully cooked.
In a pan, heat ghee or oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garlic, and ginger to create a flavorful tempering.
Sauté onions until golden brown, then add chopped tomatoes. Cook until they soften and blend into a rich, tangy sauce.
Add turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala to the tempering. These spices will give your dal that perfect flavor!
Add the cooked dal to the tempering mixture and simmer for a few minutes. Adjust consistency with water as needed.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with steamed rice or roti. Enjoy your flavorful, comforting Dal Fry!
