Dal Khichdi is the perfect blend of rice, lentils, and spices. It’s a nourishing meal that’s both delicious and easy to make.

Rice Moong dal Ghee Cumin Turmeric Ginger Carrots Peas Potatoes
Begin by washing 1 cup rice and ½ cup moong dal. Make sure they’re clean before you proceed to the next step.
Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and freshly grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant for a warm, flavorful aroma.
Throw in some chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, or potatoes for added nutrition and taste. Let them cook with the mixture.
Add the washed rice and dal to the pan with the spices. Stir everything well to combine the flavors before cooking.
Add 4 cups of water to the pot. Let it cook on medium heat until the rice and dal become soft and mushy. Stir occasionally.
Your Dal Khichdi is now ready! Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with yogurt, pickle, or papad for a complete, wholesome meal.
