Rice flour Grated coconut Jaggery Cardamom Ghee Salt & water
Cook coconut and jaggery together until blended; add cardamom powder.
Boil water with ghee and salt, stir in rice flour, and steam briefly.
While warm, knead rice dough until smooth, soft, and pliable.
Flatten dough, add filling, shape into modaks with pleats, and seal.
Steam for 10–15 minutes until they turn shiny and slightly translucent.
Drizzle with ghee and enjoy warm—or offer first to Lord Ganesha!
