Methi (fenugreek) adds a unique, slightly bitter flavor to rice. This quick, nutritious dish is perfect for lunch or dinner!
Basmati rice Fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves Oil Mustard seeds Chana dal & urad dal Green chilies Curry leaves Turmeric Salt to taste
Cook basmati rice until soft. Let it cool for a few minutes, ensuring the grains remain separate.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until golden.
Add fresh methi leaves to the pan. Stir and cook for a couple of minutes until the leaves wilt down.
Add the cooked rice to the pan. Sprinkle turmeric and salt. Mix gently to coat the rice with the tempering and methi.
Serve warm, and enjoy this healthy, flavorful rice dish! Pair it with raita or a side of pickle for the perfect meal.
