Chicken Yogurt Ginger-garlic paste Turmeric Red chili powder Garam masala Salt Lemon juice Basmati rice Cloves Cardamom Bay leaf Onions Mint & coriander Ghee Saffron in milk
Mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, lemon juice & garam masala. Rest for 1–4 hours.
Boil basmati rice with salt and whole spices (like cardamom, cloves, bay leaf) until 70% cooked. Drain and keep aside.
Slice onions thin and fry them until golden brown. These add a rich, sweet flavor to your biryani layers.
In a thick pot, add marinated chicken at the bottom. Layer with rice, fried onions, mint, coriander & saffron milk.
Cover tightly with a lid or dough. Cook on low heat for 30–40 mins. This slow cooking locks all the flavors in!
Turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 mins. Gently fluff the rice—your biryani is ready to serve!
