In a pan, heat oil and sauté one sliced onion until golden brown. This will add a deep flavor to your dish! Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until aromatic.
Add chopped tomatoes to the onions. Cook until they soften and release their juices. Add spices like turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala for a rich, fragrant masala base.
Add cubed paneer to the masala and sauté for a few minutes. This helps the paneer soak in all the spicy goodness. Add a little water for a smooth, thick gravy.
Add the second set of sliced onions to the curry. These onions should be sautéed until golden and then mixed in. This is the "Do Pyaza" twist that gives the dish its signature texture and taste!
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice. Enjoy your delicious Paneer Do Pyaza—a true feast for the senses!
