Basmati rice Mixed vegetables (carrot, peas, beans) Onion Green chilies Ginger-garlic paste Whole spices Ghee/oil Salt
Rinse and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes. This helps it cook evenly and stay fluffy.
Heat ghee, add whole spices (like cumin, bay leaf, cloves), sauté onions till golden.
Stir in chopped vegetables and soaked rice. Sauté gently for 2-3 minutes to coat with flavors.
Add water, season with salt, cover and cook on low heat until rice is done and fluffy.
Let it rest, fluff with a fork, and serve hot with raita or pickle. Perfect for lunchboxes or quick dinners!
