Dal Palak is a delicious, nutritious dish made with lentils and spinach. It’s the perfect combination of flavors and health benefits in one bowl.

Yellow moong dal Fresh spinach (palak) Onions Tomatoes Garlic Cumin Turmeric Ghee
Wash 1 cup moong dal and 2 cups fresh spinach. Set them aside while you heat up the spices for the next step.
In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add cumin seeds, garlic, and chopped onions. Sauté until golden, filling your kitchen with incredible aromas!
Toss in chopped tomatoes and a pinch of turmeric. Cook until the tomatoes soften, creating a rich base for the dal.
Add the washed moong dal to the pan along with 3-4 cups of water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer until the dal is cooked through and soft.
Stir in the fresh spinach. Cook for a few minutes until the spinach wilts and blends into the dal, infusing the dish with vibrant green goodness.
Once everything is well-cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve your hearty Dal Palak with rice or roti for a complete, satisfying meal.
