 Ingredients for Rajma Recipe

Rajma (soaked overnight) Onions Tomatoes, Pureed Ginger-garlic paste Cumin Turmeric Coriander Red chili Garam masala Salt Oil Fresh coriander

Soak & Pressure Cook Rajma

Soak rajma overnight for softness. Pressure cook with salt and water for 5-6 whistles until they’re tender and easy to mash.

Step 1

Sauté Onions & Spices

Heat oil, add cumin, then onions. Sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till fragrant.

Step 2

Add Tomatoes & Cook Masala

Add tomato puree, turmeric, red chili, coriander powder. Cook until the masala thickens and oil starts to separate.

Step 3

Combine with Rajma & Simmer

Mix in boiled rajma with its water. Simmer on low for 20-25 mins. Mash a few beans to thicken the gravy naturally.

Step 4

Flavor Boost – Add Garam Masala

Finish with garam masala and a sprinkle of kasuri methi (optional). Simmer a few more minutes for full flavor infusion.

Serve It Hot!

Garnish with coriander. Serve steaming hot with rice (Rajma-Chawal = pure bliss!) or pair with warm rotis. Enjoy the comfort in every bite!
