Prepare the Lavender Syrup
Pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar into a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches a gentle simmer. Avoid boiling.
Add 2 tablespoons of lavender, stirring to combine.
Remove from heat and allow the lavender to steep in the syrup for 15 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor.
Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve into a clean container, discarding the solids. Your lavender syrup is now ready!
Mix the Lemonade Base
Combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 5 cups of water in a large pitcher.
Adjust the ratio of lemon juice to water for personal preference. Looking for bold and tart? Add more lemon juice. Want something milder? Use less.
3. Combine and Serve
Stir the lavender syrup into the lemonade base, tasting as you go to ensure the sweetness is balanced to your liking.
Fill glasses with ice and pour the lavender lemonade over the top.
Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of lavender. Serve and enjoy immediately.
